Today we celebrate the important men in our lives. We will be taking pictures of dads and their children outside the upstairs nursery.

Men's Breakfast
The men will be going to Dover Valley Restaurant for breakfast on Sat. July 7 at 8:00 am. Sign up in the lower foyer and be sure to invite a friend!

BODY NEWS

Mandated Clearances for Childcare Workers
It is time to revisit every children’s ministry worker’s need for update clearances. If you work or deal in ANY capacity with children at Dover Assembly and are over 18, you are required by law to have current State Police and ChildLine clearances and Mandated reporter training. Pastor Jeff will be approaching those who need such clearances. If your clearances are out of date (older than 5 years) or we do not have them in our files, you will need to apply for them ASAP. No one will be permitted to work with children until all clearances have been obtained.

Never Miss A Service!
Can't join us in person? We stream our services live online every Sunday morning at 10:30 am. This is also a great way to invite others to check out our church. To watch online, visit doverassembly.com/live or visit the Watch Live tab in our app. You can also watch via Facebook Live by visiting our Facebook page at facebook.com/doverassembly

In addition to streaming live, each sermon is posted to Vimeo early in the week. Check out those you may have missed or would like to hear again at vimeo.com/doverassembly

New Entrance Doors Into The Lower Level
In our desire to heighten the security for our children, we have installed new doors that lead into the lower part of our church where the children’s ministries take place. In a week or so, we will be adding a security lock which will require anyone seeking entrance, to buzz and wait to be let in. The doors will be locked from 9:30-10:15 and again from 10:30-noon.

Faith Pledges
So far we have raised $7,412.50 towards our matching goal of $10,000 towards our debt of $50,000. Thank you for your faithfulness! Help us to meet that challenge.

Independence Day
There will not be an evening service on Wednesday, July 4. Enjoy the day with family and friends!

Some of what we hear and see today is that dads aren’t really necessary, or that dads are the butt of jokes on TV.

But if God relates to us as our fathers, then God must have a high opinion and standards for being a dad.
Our relationship with Christ has to be first because it effects all of our other relationships.

So dads, make sure your first priority is God.
“The best thing a dad can do for his kids is love their mom.”

The husband / wife relationship is first. The children come second.

Why is this important? Because if the kids are before the marriage, then the marriage will suffer. If we cater to the kids and neglect our spouse, they begin to think the world revolves around them.
Our kids are gifts from God. We only have our kids for a short time and that time goes by too fast.
The bottom line is this:

If you are starting out as a new dad, I encourage you to make sure your relationship with Christ is first.

Then make sure you love their mom.

Then enjoy every moment you can with them.
If you are an older dad and your kids are gone, mostly the same rules apply.

Love Jesus, love your wife and keep involved in your kid’s lives as much as possible. Be a good grandpa!

If you blew it as a dad, try to regain that relationship.
DADS: It matters to your kids to be in their lives. Regardless of what age you are or they are.

KIDS: Love your dads, even if they weren’t perfect.
Maybe you didn’t know your dad, or your dad was totally gone from your life. The Bible says that God is now your father.
So yes, God does have a high standard for dads, but as the old Peace Corp commercial once said, It’s the toughest job you’ll ever love.

Thank you for joining us!
