CONVERSATION STARTERS
Conversation Starters help us dig deeper, connecting Sunday’s sermons with our Monday lives. These prompts have been designed to help Community Groups grow in their relationship with God, with one another, and with their neighbors. Please know that these questions are meant to be a resource to you. You do not have to follow them verbatim or get through them all. We trust you to know your group and to ask the questions based on your group needs.
1) What stood out to you from the sermon?
2) Read Revelation 4-5. (Read it slowly. Take your time.) What image most strikes you about this scene? Why do you think that stands out to you?
3) Was there a time you were moved by an experience of the power and beauty of God? Talk about that experience with your group (where it was, what was going on in your life, what that has meant to you.)
4) Revelation 4-5 details what makes Christ worthy to receive our worship. In your own words, what makes your heart long to worship Christ? What makes Christ worthy of your devotion and allegiance?
PRAYER
• Spend time sharing with one another your burdens and where you sense you need God’s presence.
• Spend time thanking God for the sacrifice of Christ, that makes Him worthy to open the scrolls and begin God’s work of salvation in the world. Ask God to make His presence and salvation known to one another in your burdens this week.
