Riverwood Community Church
Betrayal, Denial, & Abandonment. Come for the teaching, stay for the fun.
Mark 14.26-50 No one likes to think of being abandoned. Friends who have been through thick and thin. They know your best and your worst. Then, poof. Something changes and you are left alone. If this has happened to you recently, the Lord knows where you are coming from. In fact, in the span of one night, Jesus experienced betrayal from one of those closest to him, denial from another closest to him, then abandonment by nine of his other closest friends. Talk about a gut-wrenching night! Again, the Bible meets us where we are. It isn't some strange book with strange people that we can't relate to. It's real people in real life with real hope. Just.
