CONVERSATION STARTERS
Conversation Starters help us dig deeper, connecting Sunday’s sermons with our Monday lives. These prompts have been designed to help Community Groups grow in their relationship with God, with one another, and with their neighbors. Please know that these questions are meant to be a resource to you. You do not have to follow them verbatim or get through them all. We trust you to know your group and to ask the questions based on your group needs.

1) What stood out to you from the sermon?

2) At the end of “The Wizard of Oz”, Dorothy pulls back the curtain to reveal what was behind the Wizard’s display of awe and power. In what ways does the Apostle John pull back the curtain in this apocalypse?

3) Take yourself back in time to the beginning of a period of personal turmoil and strife. How did the progressions of events look to you then? Now looking backwards at that same period, what looks different?

4) During this pandemic, what has helped you sense God’s presence with you? What has made you wonder where He is? How can you train yourself to watch for Him?

5) Most artwork portrays Jesus as beatific or even a bit feminine. John describes him in a very different way. What does that tell you about who Jesus really is and how he fits into the big picture?

Prayer Requests

As a staff it is a privilege to pray for our congregation. Social distance does not change that! If you are in need of prayer click the link to fill out an online prayer request.

Thou silver moon with softer gleam

Chorus 1

Alleluia alleluia alleluia

Thou rushing wind that art so strong
Ye clouds that sail in heaven along
O praise Him alleluia
Thou rising morn in praise rejoice
Ye lights of evening find a voice

Verse 4
And all ye men of tender heart
Forgiving others take your part
O sing ye alleluia
Ye who long pain and sorrow bear
Praise God and on Him cast your care

Verse 5
Let all things their Creator bless
And worship Him in humbleness
O praise Him alleluia
Praise praise the Father praise the Son
And praise the Spirit Three in One

Come Sing for Joy

verse 1
Creation sings Your glorious name
In endless song.
Let the redeemed lift up their voice
And sing along.

chorus 1
Sing to the One Who has opened the gates,
Sing to the Hope Who has broken the chains,
Come sing for Joy!
Sing to the Lamb Who has conquered our sin,
Sing to the King Who is coming again,
Come sing for Joy!

verse 2
Sing for the lost, sing for the least,
The weak, the poor.
Let Vict’ry’s song sing heaven’s praise
Forevermore.

bridge
We wait for You, we wait for You,
We long for Your return
We wait for You, we wait for You,
We long for Your return

chorus 2
Sing, for the Sun soon will rise once again,
Sing, for the sorrow and darkness will end,
Come sing for joy!
Sing, for the broken will all be made new,
Sing, for the King is returning for you,
Come sing for joy!

Sing To The King

Verse 1
Sing to the King Who is coming to reign
Glory to Jesus the Lamb that was slain
Life and salvation His empire shall bring
And joy to the nations when Jesus is King

Chorus 1
Come let us sing a song
A song declaring that we belong to Jesus
He is all we need
Lift up a heart of praise
Sing now with voices raised to Jesus
Sing to the King

Verse 2
For His returning we watch and we pray
We will be ready the dawn of that day
We'll join in singing with all the redeemed
'Cause Satan is vanquished and Jesus is King
