Dangerous Prayers: Send Me
“I’m not talented enough.” “I’m too bad.” “I’ll never make a difference.” “God’s not interested in using me.” “There’s no great plan for my life.” “I’m too busy.” “I’m not interested.” Availability and willingness are the only two ingredients necessary to be used of God. That’s all He’s looking for on your CV. The rest of the stuff that you think is important, essential or maybe missing from your CV, God isn’t interested in. He’s also not concerned about your excuses. He knows their real purpose: to keep you holding on to your comfy blanket. Praying this prayer has an element of danger, adventure and uncomfortableness. It’s the faith part of the unknown and “out of my control”. It’s trusting God and surrendering to His will for your life. If you’re willing and make yourself available, God will start His amazing work in and through you. “Here I am, Lord. Send me.”
