Home Group/Study Questions
These questions are provided for your further study and application of today’s sermon. Thoughtfully writing out the answers to these questions will help to drive home the truths we are learning.

1. Was there any passage of scripture or statement in the message today that was particularly meaningful or applicable to you?
2. Read Psalm 46:1-3. Why is fear such a destructive problem for us as Christians? What are some of the temptations that surface when you are afraid?
3. Read Deuteronomy 4:1-8. Why is important for us to remember the connection between submission to God’s word and our confidence in God’s responsiveness to our prayers?
4. Read Matthew 6:25-34 & 10:28-31. What convicts you most in these passages about the illogical nature of fear and worry as a Christian, especially in light of the concerns you are facing today?
5. Read 2 Chronicles 16:8-9. How have you seen God act on your behalf in the past? Why does the temptation to depend upon worldly wisdom (or self-sufficiency) not diminish with time? How can this truth (v. 9) motivate your continual reliance upon God?
