TC Kids
ThornCreek Children’s Ministry strives to partner with families to raise children in the way of Jesus. It’s our goal for children to be transformed by the love of God, to grow in their walk with God, surrender their lives to God, and be a light in the world for others to know God in the same way.

Our curriculum takes the kids through the Bible in a year and they are invited into The Big God Story to experience it and discover who God is and how they fit into His plan!

We believe that parents have a huge impact on the faith of their children! Every Monday, parents are emailed a Family Bible Study that you can do throughout the week with your kids. We also have a repeating 6-week Spiritual Parenting small group that you can be a part of to learn more about raising your children to know God!

We have classes available each weekend for Infants through 5th grade.

All volunteers have passed background checks and we have security procedures in place to create a safe environment for your kids.
TC Teens
TC Teens Ministry’s mission is to create a safe place for teenagers to encounter Jesus, to ask questions, and to experience the Love God has for them, while ultimately integrating them into the body and mission of Christ.

Encounter | Thursdays 6:30pm-8pm @ Mountain States Baptist (3751 Cottonwood Lakes Blvd, Thornton 80241)
Soul Fuel | Sundays 9:30am @ Prairie Hills Elementary School

QUESTION: What’s the greatest mystery in your life?
In the NT….A “mystery” is defined as something that had at one time been hidden but is now revealed to God’s people.

Paul the apostle used the word “mystery” 21 times in his Epistles.
Ray Stedman
Paul was in prison at Rome. A prisoner of Caesar, awaiting trial before Nero. But never once does he say that he is a prisoner of Caesar; it is always "a prisoner of Christ Jesus."He saw that Caesar was not the one who had the final say about him; Jesus did. The duration of his confinement was not determined by Caesar, but by the Lord Jesus.
We give our problems too much credit.
- God has your life in His hands.
- God has a plan for you.
- God has His eye on you.
- Your problem is not your end.
Don’t ever let your circumstances define your purpose. God will use your circumstances to advance His purpose.
William Barclay
“To understand the connection of thought in this passage it has to be noted that verses 2–13 are one long parenthesis.”
Paul unpacks his insight of this mystery in OTHER PLACES...
The mystery has a name.
The name is Jesus Christ! In Christ, you can find healing and grace. You can find life treasures and knowledge. In Jesus, you can can find God’s perfect purpose for your life.
Gentiles = Non-Jews
From the Jewish perspective, Gentiles were often seen as pagans who did not know the true God. During Jesus’ time, many Jews took such pride in their cultural and religious heritage that they considered Gentiles “unclean”, calling them “dogs” and “the uncircumcision”.
How do you think Jews felt about Paul’s teaching?
John Phillips
The Jews were infuriated when Paul taught that believing Gentiles were full members of God's family and the fellowship of saints. The Jews' national pride was stung. Even in the church many Jewish believers thought that Gentiles should become Jews in order to be Christians, or at least they should be regarded as second-class citizens in the kingdom. Paul's emancipating gospel annoyed many Jews, even within the church. They felt threatened by his zealous, far-reaching efforts to bring more and more Gentiles into the church.
(Phillips, J. Exploring Ephesians)
The greatest lovers of God, love without boundaries. They love a person to Jesus Christ. Their love transcends the conditions of this world.

The mystery says, “You are invited too.”
