PRAYER TONIGHT at 6pm in the Fellowship Hall.
ANNUAL CONGREGATIONAL MEETING, TODAY, Sunday, March 11, 2018
Our Church year runs from the first of March through the end of February. As we conclude another Church year, we will be bringing you an updated Annual Report from the Staff, along with updated financial information. If you are a Church Member you are eligible to vote. This year because we are in the beginning of the search for a new Lead Pastor, we are asking you to vote to extend the Church Leadership Team's (CLT) term for an additional year so we can keep the continuity on the Board. We will also be voting on Nazarene Missions International (NMI) Board and delegates to the District Missions Conference and District Convention coming the end of April in Auburn.
STARTING POINT 6-week class starts today, Sun, Mar 11, at 9am, in the Fellowship Hall (during first service). Join Pastor Ron Kingham as he leads you through some of the basic questions and issues that all followers of Jesus need to know and understand.
Join us today, Sunday, March 11th as we say goodbye to CJ & Jenn Williamson, our Youth Pastor. We will pray over them during Church next week, and then have a potluck in their honor after the second service in the Fellowship Hall. All are invited, you are asked to bring a salad and/or a dessert.
EASTER IS ALMOST HERE......can you believe it? It's a tradition at Oroville Church of the Nazarene to give a great offering to a Missions project somewhere in the world to show gratitude to our Savior for what He has done for us! This year we want to help provide a clean water well for a very needy community near Lubumbashi, Democratic Republic of Congo.
Since this well needs to be dug by machine (rather than by hand), it will cost $10,000. Let's do what we can to help their church raise these funds. You will hear more details about this project in the weeks leading up to Easter Sunday...we plan to take our Easter offering Sundays March 18th and 25th.
CORNERSTONE BBQ-Friday, March 23rd at 12noon
Cornerstone is for those in retirement or approaching retirement. Join us for a time of good food and fellowship. We provide the meat, you bring the rest. Sign-up on Sundays. Click here to read about last years Cornerstone BBQ.
Women Alive Spring Class-Mondays at 6pm/Tuesdays at 10am
Gratitude turns what we have into enough. We have so much to be thankful for, really. Sometimes we simply aren’t aware of our great wealth. Developing a thankful heart is an act of worship, a spiritual practice that keeps us close to God, healthy, and sane. The art of expressing our gratitude to God and one another is important. This devotional formatted study will challenge, teach and provide you with a divine gift – the grace to recognize and actively appreciate how truly rich you are. Enter His gates with thanksgiving and His court with praise. Psalm 34:8 Facilitated by Theresa Swift in the evening and Patty Clark in the morning. Classes start Monday, March 19th at 6pm, or Tuesday March 20th at 10am. Childcare provided for Tuesday morning class.
