Dependence On God
The Wilderness Experience - Jesus had to rely on His Father throughout His life - but especially during His wilderness experience. Isn’t that true about us as well? We must depend on God - everyday! Praying for our daily bread is not just about what we eat!

In this sermon we will take a look at dependence. Jesus depended on his Heavenly Father while he was in the wilderness. Just like Christ, we must look to the Father, Son, and the Holy Spirit, when we find ourselves dealing with the wilderness experience.
Scripture tells us that Jesus was tempted three times. Because of His dependence of faith and the Father, He was able to weather Satan‘s attacks.
Jesus was tempted in three ways. The first way was materialistic things.

The second way was by faith

That third way was with success
The word tempted that is in the scripture derives from the Greek word for Peirazo, but also has another meaning, tested.
Often we depend on worldly things for happiness, for safety, but we must keep in mind that God gives us everything we need and must keep our dependence on Him and His Word.
