The believer who has no joy in his salvation has nothing to share for a hungry heart. The people of the world are attracted to Christians who seem full of life, joy, love, peace, and other fruit of the spirit.

Blessed to Bless
1. For our own lives
2. “that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble”

The purpose of all ministry from God is not only for the believer who receives, but for those who will receive as it is shared, spread, and multiplied.

The more one gives, the more one has. What a person tries to keep becomes stale and useless.

We can multiply the blessings of God!

Israel was blessed to bless.
Jews are a famously accomplished group. They make up 0.2% of the world’s population, but 54% of the world’s chess champions, 27% of the Nobel physics laureates, and 31% of the medicine laureates.
Verse 2: That God’s ways and salvation may be known
Verse 4: Praise, joy, gladness, and righteous judgement
Verse 6: Financial blessings
Verse 7: Godly reverence

Notice what happened to Israel under Solomon. Israel became obsessed with riches and receiving; soon their great blessing began to disappear.

What happens to a stagnant blessing? If those who are blessed will not bless others, God may withdraw His continued blessings.

The power of the family blessing
Jacob blesses his sons. The blessing is dictated by our walk.

The benefits of blessing our children:
1. Affirmation of value
2. A sense of security
3. A feeling of stability
4. A refocusing for parents to remind them how precious their children are
