For the past few weeks, we’ve been taking a look at some movies that reveal

· Week 1: Dunkirk:
When we pray, God can make a way when there seems to be no way.
· Week 2: Wonder Woman:
When we believe in God we believe in love, and when we believe in love and act on it, we have the potential to change the world.
· Week 3: 6 Below: Miracle on the Mountain:
When you choose the path of God, it will always lead you home to Him.
Hacksaw Ridge is the story about the American hero, Desmond Doss who served in the 77th Army Division during World War II. The battle of Hacksaw Ridge took place in Okinawa Japan.

His love for God motivated him to love others, even his enemies. I really believe Desmond Doss was a shining example of how, “You can love people more when you love God the most.”
Sometimes our love for God will be misinterpreted. Sometimes it will cause us to live for God in ways that astound everyone.

Desmond’s love for God caused him to love and forgive those around him.

In a little over 12 hours, Doss saved 75 wounded men from enemy territory. Some of the men he saved were the same men who had beaten him and tried to run him out of the military. He would even end up rescuing Captain Glover who had said Desmond was crazy and deserved a “section 8”.

Captain Glover said, "He was one of the bravest persons alive and then to have him end up saving my life was the irony of the whole thing." []

Desmond’s love for God caused him to love and value people. That is the story behind the story. We can love people more when we love God the most.

Please Lord, help me get one more.
Am I loving others in the same way Jesus loved me?

If we want to love people more we have to love God the most.
Would you say that you are most like…
· The priest?
· The Temple assistant?
· The Good Samaritan?
The number one reason people give for not attending church is, “No one invited me.”
Most of your friends and family are in a war. They need someone to show them the way out of the craziness of life. Would you be willing to run into battle to rescue them? I want you to think this way, “Please Lord, help me get one more.”
