1. Your giving creates a partnership

15 And you Philippians yourselves know that in the beginning of the gospel, when I left Macedonia, no church entered into partnership with me in giving and receiving, except you only. 16 Even in Thessalonica you sent me help for my needs once and again. (Philippians 4:15-16)
2. Your giving produces a credit

Not that I seek the gift, but I seek the fruit that increases to your credit. (Philippians 4:17)

God gives us spiritual blessings

For Macedonia and Achaia were pleased to make a contribution for the poor among the saints in Jerusalem ... 27 For if the Gentiles have shared in the Jews’ spiritual blessings, they owe it to the Jews to share with them their material blessings. (Romans 15:26-27, NIV, 1984)

God gives us financial blessings

Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously … You will be made rich in every way so that you can be generous on every occasion.
(2 Corinthians. 9:6,11, NIV)
Three Keys to Financial Success
1. You must work diligently
2. You must be content continuously
3. You must give generously
3. Your giving is an act of worship

I have received full payment, and more. I am well supplied, having received from Epaphroditus the gifts you sent, a fragrant offering, a sacrifice acceptable and pleasing to God. (Philippians 4:18)
4. Your giving comes with a promise

And my God will supply every need of yours according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus. (Philippians 4:19)

I have been young, and now I am old, but I have never seen a righteous person abandoned or his descendants begging for food. (Psalm 37:25, GW)
