Title: A Life That Worships Everywhere
TAKE AWAY: What was a key idea that stood out to you from this sermon?
ASSESSING: Tom began the morning by talking about threat assessments and some of the different threats against our walk with Jesus. As you reflect on yourself and family, what potential threats regarding your walk with Christ resonated most? Were there any not mentioned that came to mind?
LOOKING AROUND: Considering the forms of “religiosity” that Tom mentioned, which do you find most treacherous for yourself or others? In other words, is there any religious practice you find people grasping onto as a sole assurance of their eternal destiny or spiritual maturity?
DIAGNOSING: As we discussed, part of the issue is found in how we compartmentalize life. Why do you think we always try and compartmentalize the different areas of our life? What is it that makes compartmentalizing so alluring?
CONNECTING: Tom said, “Our Sunday worship is too small, if it doesn’t make a big impact on tomorrow.” This is the call to the authentic faith of a complete heart and life change. What do you think this looks like in your life? And how do you plan to connect the two?
PRAYER: Authentic faith is found in authentic heart and life change. Read together from Ephesians 2:8-10, and pray together for an integrated life animated by the Holy Spirit.
