The Bible wasn’t meant to be read through, it was meant to be prayed through.
1. Meditate on God’s Word before you pray

Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the wicked, nor stands in the way of sinners, nor sits in the seat of scoffers; but his delight is in the law of the LORD, and on His law he meditates day and night ... In all that he does, he prospers. (Psalm 1:1-3, ESV)

If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you. (John 15:7, ESV)
2. Speak out God’s Word as you pray

If we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. And if we know that He hears whatever we ask, we know that we have what we have asked of Him. (1 John 5:14-15, CSB)

Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit—which is the word (rhema) of God. Pray at all times in the Spirit with every prayer and request. (Ephesians 6:17-18, CSB)
3. When you read God’s Word, pray it

P - Stands for Praise
R - Stands for Repent
A - Stands for Asking
Y - Stands for Yes Promises

For no matter how many promises God has made, they are “Yes” in Christ. And so through Him the “Amen” is spoken by us to the glory of God. (2 Corinthians 1:20, NIV)
4. Pray the promises given in God’s Word

And Jacob said, “O LORD who said to me, ‘Return to your country and to your kindred, that I may do you good,’… But you said, ‘I will surely do you good.’” (Genesis 32:9, 12, ESV)
