"When I Worship!" Pt. 6
I. God isn't looking for more workers, He's looking for more worshippers!--but before you breathe a sigh of relief, understand that once you are a worshipper, it's only a natural step to become a worker for the Kingdom!
John 12:1-22 ESV
II. True worship is risky! Why? Because true worship involves becoming vulnerable!
III. True worship is extravagant! We worship without holding anything back!
IV. True worship happens when we give of ourselves! It's allowing yourself to be free in expressing what is going on inside of you once you realize all that Jesus means in your life!
Matthew 22:15-22 ESV
V. We can't always remain private in our worship! (Church, for example)
VI. We should be actively involved in the worship experience!
VII. It is good to audibly declare our allegiance to Christ in worship!
Matthew 10:5-42 ESV
VIII. We must be willing to seek Jesus! THAT is the heart of worship!
IX. We must be teachable! Be willing to ask questions; be willing to learn; be willing to grow!
X. We shouldn't be ashamed in our search for God! True worship is a lifestyle of responding with all that we have, to all that God is!
Luke 7:36-50 ESV
XI. Sometimes, we come serving like Mary; sometimes, we come singing like the crowds; sometimes we come seeking like the Greeks! We should ALWAYS come, however, with all of our hearts focusing on Him!
