The Stewardship of the Gospel
Sermon Notes for Sunday, July 30, 2017
God has placed us in our neighborhoods for a reason. We have already looked at the fact that God has called us to love our neighbors and seem some practical ways to do so. True love should compel us to join God in His mission of making disciples. Today's sermon will look at what it means to be a steward of the Gospel with our neighbors.

We have been ____ by Jesus into this world as _________ of the _______.

___________ is not an _______ for the believer, it's a _______.

_______ _________ is one of the few things that Scripture tells us makes a person _____.

______ comes by _________. _______ alone is not enough to ____ someone to Jesus Christ.

You don't have to have it all figured out to be an ___________, but you do need to know the _______.

G – God created us to be with Him (Psalm 100:3).

O – Our sins separate us from God (Romans 3:23).

S – Sins cannot be removed by good deeds (Romans 5:8).

P – Paying the price for sin, Jesus died and rose again (1 Corinthians 15:3-4).

E – Everyone who trusts in Him alone has eternal life (John 3:16).

L – Life with Jesus starts now and lasts forever (John 10:28).

Making it Personal:

Are you interested in what it means to be a follower of Jesus?

Woodbury Community Church isn't a church full of people who used to be like you, tolerate people like you, or tries to fix people like you. We're people just like you who happen to believe that Jesus Christ is the greatest gift that we have ever been given.
To find out how you can begin a life with Jesus as your Savior, visit the website below, or better yet, stop one of our pastors after the service and ask to speak to them.

Online Giving

Woodbury Community Church is dedicated to making more disciples for Jesus Christ across the street and around the world. Your financial support helps make that a reality! It takes a lot to do the work that God has called us to do. We seek to be wise stewards of every dollar that God brings in. As a congregational church, there are no secrets in how we manage the funds that people give. Our congregation votes on the budget every year. Our board of Elders, elected by our congregation, reviews our financial reports every month.
Thank you for your generosity as we seek to take the message of Jesus Christ to the world.
By clicking on the online giving link below, you can register to make a secure online donation or set-up automatic giving.2 Corinthians 9:6-7: "Remember this: Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously. Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver."
