Great Stories of the Bible: A Life Worth Following!
1 Timothy 4:6-16

The challenge is to have the courage to live a life that is worth following.

1 Timothy 3:16
“Great indeed, we confess, is the mystery of godliness: He was manifested in the flesh, vindicated by the Spirit, seen by angels, proclaimed among the nations, believed on in the world, taken up in glory.”

2 Peter 1:3
“His divine power has granted to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of him who called us to his own glory and excellence.”
Philippians 2:19-22
“I hope in the Lord Jesus to send Timothy to you soon, so that I too may be cheered by news of you. For I have no one like him, who will be genuinely concerned for your welfare. For they all seek their own interests, not those of Jesus Christ. But you know Timothy's proven worth, how as a son with a father he has served with me in the gospel.”

To live a life worth following we need to:

1. Always strive to be a “good servant” of Jesus Christ! (vs.6)

2. Stay away from biblically bankrupt stuff. (vs.7)

3. Always be in training for a lifestyle that pleases God! (vs.7-8)

4. Be willing to give all for Jesus! (vs.9-10)

5. Be committed to training others in God’s Word! (vs.6, 11, 13)

But… “I can't teach anyone” you say.
I say “Why not?”

6. Be prepared and actively involved in being role models! (vs.12)

“Example” defined:

- A mark, print, or impression. (John 20:25)
- a form or figure
- a pattern or prototype
