But being considerate of others time and being punctual does not demand that we hurry ourselves or those we are with.
Living in God’s Kingdom, practicing obedience to Jesus, leads to the renewed condition of our hearts. Hurry has no place in this new life we live with God.
If hurry is more of an internal condition or state of mind than the actual pace we move with, what is the most important thing we can do to begin eliminating it?
Two very important things we need to know and remember regarding the commandment to keep the Sabbath.

● Keeping the Sabbath is the way of life in God’s Kingdom.

● Keeping the Sabbath is for our benefit and blessing.
Jesus said to them, The Sabbath was made for man and not man for the Sabbath. Mark 2:27
Mark 2:27-28 TLB
But the Sabbath was made to benefit man, and not man to benefit the Sabbath. And I, the Messiah, have authority even to decide what men can do on Sabbath days!”
Keeping the Sabbath helps set the rhythm and pace of our soul and maintain our focus on The King and Life in His Kingdom
Practicing observing the Sabbath and keeping it Holy:
On that day, live differently. Try focus on things like these:
● What your life with God is like right now.
● The pace of your day – slowing down intentionally
● Family & Friends-being present with them.
● The moment. Stay in each moment as they come and let them transition naturally to the next. Try not to bring things to an end in order to get to the next thing.
● When possible, live through the lens of a child and let them set the pace and agenda
● Practice doing what you do with God – remaining aware of His presence with us in the moments that come. For some cleaning out the garage or mowing is a restful and refreshing change of pace. Do these things with God, allowing yourself time to do what you do without getting it done as the main focus? Instead doing what you do with God as the focus.
