Leader: Give ear to my words, O Lord; consider my groaning.
All: Give attention to the sound of our cry, our King and our God, for to you do we pray.
Leader: O Lord, in the morning you hear our voice;
All: in the morning we prepare a sacrifice for you and watch.
Leader: For you are not a God who delights in wickedness; evil may not dwell with you.
All: But we, through the abundance of your steadfast love, will enter your house.
Leader: we will bow down toward your holy temple in the fear of you.
All: But let all who take refuge in you rejoice; let them ever sing for joy, and spread your protection over them,
Leader: that those who love your name may exult in you.
All: O Lord; you cover us with favor as with a shield.

Silent Meditation

The Psalmist models a transparent faith with these words,
"23 Search me, O God, and know my heart!
Try me and know my thoughts!
24 And see if there be any grievous way in me,
and lead me in the way everlasting!”

One way we express our longing for God’s leading is through our own transparent confession.

Lord Jesus, I confess that my convictions and choices have been wrong.

[As you are led, name the convictions that come to mind].

They have caused hurt to others and myself, division in my community, and disruption in my relationships. Help me to change my behavior and show me how to make restitution for the damage my previous thinking caused. I receive your forgiveness. Lead me further, O Lord, in this work of repentance with you. Amen.

Jesus Paid It All - (Listen only)

I hear the savior say
Thy strength indeed is small
Child of weakness, watch and pray
Find in me thine all in all

Jesus paid it all
All to Him I owe
Sin had left a crimson stain
He washed it white as snow

Lord, now indeed I find
Thy power and thine alone
Can change the leper's spots
And melt the heart of stone

Jesus paid it all
All to Him I owe
Sin had left a crimson stain
He washed it white as snow

And when before the throne
I stand in Him complete
Jesus died my soul to save
My lips shall still repeat

Jesus paid it all
All to Him I owe
Sin had left a crimson stain
He washed it white as snow
Jesus paid it all
All to Him I owe
Sin had left a crimson stain
He washed it white as snow
He washed it white as snow
He washed it white as snow

Praise God from whom all blessings flow, praise Him all creatures here below! Praise Him above ye Heavenly host, praise Father, Son, and Holy Ghost. Amen

Leader: The grace, mercy, and peace of Jesus be with your Spirit
All: And also with you
SCRIPTURE 1 Peter 1:13-25
This is the word of the Lord.
All: Praise be to Christ.

1. Exiles set their hope

2. fully

3. on Him

4. who teaches us to love

The Lord be with you.
And also with you.
Lift up your hearts.
We lift them to the Lord.
Let us give thanks to the Lord our God.
It is right to give him thanks and praise.

…Therefore, we praise you, joining our voices with choirs of angels, with
prophets, apostles, and martyrs, and with all the faithful of every time and place, who forever sing to the glory of your name:

Holy, holy, holy Lord, God of power and might, heaven and earth are full of your glory. Hosanna in the highest. Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord. Hosanna in the highest!

…Great is the mystery of faith:

Christ has died, Christ is risen, Christ will come again.

…And so as He taught us, we are bold to pray:
The Lord’s Prayer

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name. Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our debts as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For Thine is the kingdom, the power and the glory forever. Amen.

Alleluia, Christ our Passover is sacrificed for us. Therefore let us keep the feast. Alleluia.
Words of Institution

Communion Music

Let us pray:
Eternal God, you have graciously accepted us as living members of your Son our Savior Jesus Christ, and you have fed us with spiritual food in the Sacrament of his body and blood. Send us now into the world in peace, and grant us strength and courage to love and serve you with gladness and singleness of heart, through Christ our Lord.

Benedictory Psalm: 65

(Leader and All alternate verses)
1 Praise is due to you, O God, in Zion, and to you shall vows be
2 O you who hear prayer, to you shall all flesh come.
3 When iniquities prevail against me, you atone for our transgressions.
4 Blessed is the one you choose and bring near, to dwell in your
courts! We shall be satisfied with the goodness of your house, the holiness of your temple!
5 By awesome deeds you answer us with righteousness, O God of our
salvation, the hope of all the ends of the earth and of the farthest seas;
6 the one who by his strength established the mountains, being
girded with might;
7 who stills the roaring of the seas, the roaring of their waves, the
tumult of the peoples,
8 so that those who dwell at the ends of the earth are in awe at
your signs. You make the going out of the morning and the evening to
shout for joy.
9 You visit the earth and water it; you greatly enrich it; the river of God
is full of water; you provide their grain, for so you have prepared it.
10 You water its furrows abundantly, settling its ridges, softening it
with showers, and blessing its growth.
11 You crown the year with your bounty; your wagon tracks overflow
with abundance.
12 The pastures of the wilderness overflow, the hills gird
themselves with joy,
13 the meadows clothe themselves with flocks, the valleys deck
themselves with grain, they shout and sing together for joy.
