Home Group/Study Questions
These questions are provided for your further study and application of today’s sermon. Thoughtfully writing out the answers to these questions will help to drive home the truths we are learning.

1. Was there any passage of scripture or statement in the message today that was particularly meaningful or applicable to you?
2. Read 2 Corinthians 5:15-21. Describe what it means to "live for myself" versus living for Christ? How does Paul explain the ministry of reconciliation that we are given?
3. Read Matthew 5:13-16. What are some of the temptations you face in your weekly life to “sit down and shut up” about the truth of Christ, and what are some of the ways you know Christ would have you diplomatically and effectively “stand up and speak out” about his kingdom?
4. Read 1 Thessalonians 2:1-8. What was Paul's motivation for declaring the gospel (v4) ? How did Paul share the gospel in Thessalonica (vv5-8)? How can you follow his example in your life?
5. Read Acts 13:47-52. Paul and Barnabas declared the gospel to the Jews first, and in this passage they turn their attention to the Gentiles. How do the Gentiles respond to the gospel? How do the Jews respond to the witness of Paul and Barnabas? The missionaries head out to Iconium (the next stop), and they, like the converts in Antioch of Pisidia, are described as being "filled with joy and the Holy Spirit." How could you explain to a new believer the joy that comes from obedience, even in the face of opposition?
