6. Ephesians 5:18 says not to get drunk or intoxicated with wine but commands us to be “filled with the Spirit.” Why do you think the Apostle Paul contrasts being drunk with being Spirit-filled? In most churches today, what’s worse, not being filled with the Spirit or being drunk? Why?
7. Ephesians 5:19-20 ties being Spirit-filled to singing praises to God (making melody to the Lord with your heart) and thanksgiving (having a grateful heart). Which one happens more often in your life? Why?
8. Pastor Paul’s last point in his message stated a truth that the Apostle Paul reinforced in Ephesians 5:21: “Christians together – Submit to each other.” What does it mean for Christians to “submit to one another”? What are some practical ways we can live this out?
