Feeding on Ashes
In our passage for this morning (Isaiah 44:13-20) the woodworker starts out carving for entertainment or decoration. He takes great care to make something just right and just so. Then our story goes on - somewhere in the middle he needs some warmth and food, then uses the rest of his resources to carve out something to pray to. The wood has a lot of uses, including the creation of an idol. Sometimes we are oblivious to what we are worshiping. All the time we need to be more aware. When we think we are feeding on God, we may be feeding on ashes. Join us this Sunday when we look at what feeds us. Pastor Julie

Creating with Care
• It's easy to create useless idols.
• Phones can help us worship or phones can be worshiped.
• When you come to church are you worshiping with indifference?
Worshiping with Indifference
• Bow down to the “more”.
• Bow down to God.
Feasting on Idols
• Anything that we put ahead of God.
• Our idols get in the way of our spiritual health.
• We forget everything else.
• We bow down and worship the things that God has given us rather than God.
• No one stops to think about what they are worshiping, other than God.
• Wake up!
- What are you worshiping?
- What are you feasting on?
• Stop feasting on idols, stop feeding on the ashes and feast on the word of God; feast on the Bread of Life.
Life Application
• Hold your phone up and repeat after the pastor,
- “I don’t want to feast on ashes.
- The Lord would hate that.
- This thing I’m holding in my hand isn’t really a god at all.”
• Put your phone down.
• Raise both hands up to God and repeat after the pastor,
- “Today I choose to follow God.
- Today I choose to read His word.
- Today is the day I stop feasting on ashes.
- Today I start feasting on the Bread of Life.”

Let's Get Connected
The most important way to stay in communication is through our online program, "OnRealm" or the phone version "Connect". It allows you to get information that is only shared inside the church family, get a first look at what is shared on other social media platforms and connect with each other. "Connect" also allows you a secure place to give. Finally, it acts as a virtual church directory! In an emergency, it is where we go first to look for you and how you are doing.

Connected: My Life in the Church
This bible study by Thom Rainer takes a look at the book of Ephesians and explores what it means to be connected to each other in the church. We are the family of God, and our prayer is that this study helps cultivate an even greater sense of family and community.

Communion Sundays

Communion is offered monthly; usually the first Sunday of the month. Communion elements can be requested and will be delivered in the most efficient way. Please notify us two weeks ahead of Communion Sunday so we can do our best to make sure the elements are delivered on time. Each packet has been personally prayed over and blessed by the pastors.

Prayer Requests

Prayer is very important at our church.  Our Pastors and Intercessors welcome the opportunity to include your requests in their prayers.
