1. Icebreaker: Share a funny story with the group about having to wait on a computer that needs to be reset.
2. What insight, principle, or observation from Sunday’s sermon/message did you find to be most helpful, eye opening, or troubling?
3. Do you think it’s important to take time to reset for the new year? Why or why not?
4. Read Genesis 8:1 - What do you think it means when it said, “God remembered Noah”?
5. Waiting on God is not an easy task. Based on Pastor Paul’s message on Sunday, what do you think it means to wait on God?
6. Read Isaiah 40:29-31 - Describe in your own words what you think it might mean when it says, “He give power to the faint.”
7. Noah investigated but waited on the Lord during the flood. What are ways you might investigate while you are waiting on God to speak?
8. Do you have a daily prayer time that you seek God and read the bible and pray? Why or why not? How could the group help you get started or be more consistent with your prayer time?
9. In Genesis 8:20-22, Noah makes a significant sacrifice to God as a thank you for what God has done to save mankind. What is God’s response to Noah offering? What can this story teach us about giving?
