The Conquest Begins

Joshua 6:1-5
The Lord’s STRATEGY calls for my OBEDIENCE.
No SITUATION is too great for the Lord to handle, and no PROBLEM is too much for Him to solve.
Hebrews 13:5-6
"Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you." So we say with confidence, “The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid. What can mere mortals do to me?”
The way to grow in faith is to ACCEPT new challenges and TRUST God to give you victory.
1. Just for fun – who in your group wants to come up with today’s ice breaker? What question do you want people to discuss?
2. Regarding this sermon, is there any truth that stands out as being particularly helpful, insightful, or difficult to grasp?
3. After both seeing and experiencing God’s power in conquering the Egyptians and gaining freedom for the Israelites, what do you think caused 10 of the 12 spies to come back with a fearful report?

5. When you think of Joshua, what do you know about him? How would you describe his faith? How would you describe his character? What is he best known for in the Bible?
