Thanksgiving Item Collections | Through November 20
Expand
Thanksgiving Bags: Together with Westside Housing, we're collecting Thanksgiving groceries for families in need. Pick up a list and bag to fill and return by Sunday, November 20.

Winter Hats & Gloves Collection: We are also collecting hats and gloves for children, ages 5-12, attending Primitivo Garcia (an elementary school in the Westside neighborhood). This diverse school serves a number of students who are immigrants and are ill-prepared for KC winters.

Receive Thanksgiving Groceries: If your family or a family you know would be blessed by receiving Thanksgiving groceries, please fill out this application. Thanksgiving bags will be distributed at Christian Fellowship Baptist Church. All are invited to a Service of Thanks at CFBC on Saturday, November 19, at 10am before bag distribution.

Title: The End
Scripture: Daniel 7:1-14
Speaker: Gabe Coyle, GabeC@ChristCommunityKC.org

"As long as we humans have been telling the story of our beginning, we’ve also been telling the story of our end." - Joustra and Wilkinson
>> How to face the apocalypse without losing your soul.
Tip #1: Don’t be surprised by suffering.
Because things are worse than you think.
"I know there is a God because in Rwanda I shook hands with the devil. I have seen him, I have smelled him and I have touched him. I know the devil exists, and therefore I know there is a God." - Romeo Dallaire
Tip #2: Don’t get too comfortable.
Empires with all their brutality come and go. So don’t get too comfortable.
Tip #3: Don’t wait to get ready.
Because judgment is coming.
“If only it were all so simple! If only there were evil people somewhere insidiously committing evil deeds, and it were necessary only to separate them from the rest of us and destroy them. But the line dividing good and evil cuts through the heart of every human being. And who is willing to destroy a piece of his own heart?”
― Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn, The Gulag Archipelago 1918-1956
Tip #4: Hold onto hope for more.
A better end is on the horizon.
