Thank you Jesus!

When you read this in The Message version, you can see it's written in a roundabout way, but I love that wording too. Sometimes guilt, shame, fear and condemnation can hover over us like a black cloud, sucking the colour out of our daily lives. Using words of condemnation is a really annoying yet effective tactic of the enemy, because he knows that by whispering these things into our ear he can keep us downtrodden, stopping us from seeing our situation through Christ-coloured lenses as we are called to do!

But when we enter into a life with Jesus Christ, watch out because a new power is in operation!

That image of a strong wind clearing the air, freeing us, is an accurate description of how it feels to surrender to a life with Christ and have that heavy weight of condemnation lifted from our shoulders. Christ’s voice becomes louder than the enemy’s, our day brightens and our hearts become light!

There is truly no better feeling than to think back to that place of sin and death that you came from, and dance with joy because of the freedom you now live in! Thank you Jesus!
