Faithful Obedience: Lessons From Moses and the Promised LandNäide

Day 1: The Weight of Leadership
Devotional:
Leadership is a gift from God, but it comes with responsibility. In today’s passage, Moses—who had faithfully led Israel for decades—lets frustration overtake his obedience. Instead of speaking to the rock as God commanded, he strikes it twice in anger. Though water still flows, God holds Moses accountable for not honoring His holiness.
This moment reminds us that leadership in God’s Kingdom isn’t about control or personal emotion—it’s about obedience, even when we’re weary or provoked. If Moses could stumble, so can we. But God is gracious, teaching us through both successes and failures.
Prayer:
Father, help me to lead with humility and obedience. Guard my heart from frustration, and let me always honor Your name in everything I do.
