At the core of it, discipleship is taking care of and tending all the things Jesus commanded us. Yet how can we know what to do if we don't know His words? That is why we're exploring all of Jesus' words across the Gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke and John. Each day includes a Bible narration from Ps Mark Varughese of the words of Jesus. NOTE: the translation used in the narration is the New King James Version.

In a year labeled in 2020, we thought it would be great to develop a devotional on how we Focus our eyes on Jesus. We will look at five different times the Bible talks about seeing Jesus and the situation. Join us as we step into revealing, powerful and personal encounters with the Savior.

Many are called, few are commissioned. Jesus gives his followers a taste of going out to preach, teach, and heal. Going in faith, they experience amazing powers that Christ endowed them. Christ also appraises them of the discipline and sacrifice involved, with far greater rewards for service. While service is highly monetized these days, there are still the few serving in tune with their Master in Heaven. Perhaps little-known today but famous in Heaven.

Sharing the gospel can be unpredictable. How it’s received often has nothing to do with you, because the outcome is not up to us; it’s up to God. We see this in Acts. This 5-day plan continues a journey through Acts, the Bible’s gripping sequel of Jesus at work in the life of His followers as He expands His kingdom to the ends of the earth. It’s a journey on what it means to be a Christian. It’s a story in which you have a role to play.
