I love Rube Goldberg machines. They are elaborate, complicated systems that accomplish simple tasks. Usually they are many small things that work toward one bigger goal, but sometimes they can be a few big things that do something small.

Corrie came from a Bible-believing family. The Bible had a central place in their lives. The Living Word of God: the Lord Jesus Christ, spoke to them through the written Word of God. The book of Job chronicles testing a righteous man's faith through suffering. Although Job's friends attempt to comfort him, it is only by God's revelation of His wisdom and might that Job finds true comfort.
