My inspiration for this 30 days Devotional is from prolonged theological discourses on Justice. My burning desire is to see that the Church becomes catalyst to stop violence against the poor. I am also grateful to Organizations who work relentlessly to secure Justice for the poor.

Exploring Scripture can align ourselves with truth and help us grow in our relationship with God. The devotionals in this plan are not designed to unpack the meaning of passages for you, but to help guide exploring Scripture personally. We will be journeying through the Bible with Jesus by taking 30 days to follow this Scripture reading plan.

Throughout the Bible, we see the theme of generosity and the significant role it plays in the Christian life. But true generosity is about much more than just what we do with our money. Over the next 30 days we will take a deeper look at "What the Bible says about Generosity." Join us as we study how God defines generosity and challenge ourselves to live an open-handed life.

Mandates for Men: Serve Others is a 30-day devotional plan that calls for men to rise to the biblical mandate of serving others. Rooted in humility, love, action, and purpose, this journey challenges men to reflect Christ daily by embracing a servant-hearted mindset. Each day combines a short scripture with a prayer that will challenge you to seek the transformative growth and leadership that only God can give. Embark on this journey of intentionality with a friend or a group of men and see how serving others will make you more like Jesus.

James and John enticed their mother to ask Jesus if they could rule with Him. Jesus took the disciples aside and said, "Gentile leaders lord it over their subjects, not so with you." He was illustrating that leadership in the Kingdom of God would be different. As men, we are called to lead, but we must focus our attitudes toward humility and servanthood. The more we focus on humility, the more we act like Jesus Christ. Participate in these mandates with friends who can hold you accountable as you focus on developing yourself into a Godly man.

Jesus told us that our weariness comes from carrying a burden that is too heavy for us. Instead, we are supposed to give our problems, cares, and concerns to Him and allow Him to give us the strength to do what He asks. He will teach us to do this over the next 30 days because He is humble and gentle at heart. God's word will show us examples of people throughout scripture who put their burdens in His hands and found rest for their souls.

The Lord is our defender and has put men in positions of leadership to defend the helpless. We are called to care for widows and orphans in their need, those who have been marginalized by society. We are called to be a modern-day Boaz, caring for foreigners, widows, and the poor, providing relief to those in dire circumstances because we can. Over the next 30 days, we will look at examples from the Bible and use them as a roadmap to learn to defend the helpless.

Jesus is the greatest storyteller of all time. His parables invite us into the larger narrative God has been writing since the beginning. Like a beautiful song or a piece of art that stirs something deep within, these stories capture our imaginations and move our hearts. Through His parables Jesus reveals the character of God, the mission of His Kingdom, and the power of His truth to transform our hearts and to invite us to join Him in His redemptive work in the world.

Jesus often chose to teach through parables for a reason: these simple yet profound stories conveyed deep spiritual truths and timeless life lessons in a way that resonated deeply with His listeners. When we take the time to understand them within their historical and cultural context—hearing them as His original audience would have—we, too, can experience their transformative power.

“The Sermon on the Mount” is the title often given to chapters 5-7 of the Gospel of Matthew. It is a summary of the teaching of Jesus. Although the other Gospels present some similar passages in other contexts, it is likely that Jesus actually delivered this speech on only one occasion, but then repeated the same concepts several times on other occasions as well. Matthew Henry, the great Bible commentator, says that the purpose of the Sermon on the Mount is “not to fill our heads with notions, but to guide and regulate our practice”.
