Tasuta lugemisplaanid ja palveraamatud seoses 2 Thessalonians 1:9

Has Jesus already come and gone? Second Thessalonians assured fearful people who had been told a lie and that Jesus Christ’s second coming was still to come. He didn’t leave you behind. Don’t give up. This same truth keeps a fire kindled in our hearts that produces self-control, discipline, and determination to keep moving forward. Trusted Bible teacher Dr. J. Vernon McGee leads us through this short, powerful book.

Written shortly after 1 Thessalonians, Paul’s second letter continues to encourage the Thessalonian church by admonishing them to stand firm on the truth (2 Thessalonians 2:15). As Paul instructs the church about the coming of Christ, we are reminded to be made worthy of God’s calling and fulfill all the good works of faith.

This plan offers a 3-day journey through the book of 2 Thessalonians, making it ideal for both individual and group study.

Jezebel is characterized as totally evil in the Bible. No one wants to be called a Jezebel, and definitely, no one would call their daughter that name. In this 5-day devotional, learn about the importance of being careful about the person whom you marry, the importance of biblical roles in marriage, the danger of scheming your way through life, and the consequences of living a wicked life.

We hold on to the promise that “the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the Lord as the waters cover the sea.” (Hab 2:14). Yet we don’t have to wait for that future day to spend time pondering and relishing God’s glory. In this 6-day devotional, James Hamilton guides readers through Scripture and enables them to pause and treasure God’s glory.

Missionaries, pastors, and the average Christian will encounter suffering in their lives and the lives of those they love and serve. This devotion is designed to look at real-life stories illustrating how God uses suffering to teach, guide and mold us to be more like Jesus. By God’s grace, we can glorify God as we embrace suffering in our lives, knowing that Jesus willingly laid down His life for us.

Join us for a devotional inspired by the song ‘Mercy On Display’ written by Darlene Zschech & the HopeUC Team. When Jesus died on the Cross, the mercy of God was poured into history. Now we get to be God’s mercy on display in our homes, workplaces, and communities. Discover more of God's plan to use your life to bring mercy and hope to others.

The Lord Jesus promised that one day He will return to rule over all the earth. But how should believers shape their lives here on earth until that day comes? Jesus teaches us more about that in a parable. Will you read along?

This devotional invites you to pause and reflect on Jesus’ tender yet powerful call in John 21:15–19. Just as He restored and recommissioned Peter with the words “Feed My sheep,” Jesus continues to call us into simple, wholehearted obedience rooted in love for Him. Whether you are leading, serving, or simply learning to follow more faithfully, this devotional will encourage you to trust God’s assignment for your life and step forward with confidence, knowing He equips those He calls.

Could you identify the gospel message if it showed up on a multiple choice test? Probably so, but what if you had to explain the Good News without any prompts? That's where many Christians struggle, and this reading plan aims to change that. By understanding four gospel landmarks, you can explain The Good News to anyone!

Taken from his New York Times bestselling book "Erasing Hell," Francis Chan takes on the one topic Christians shy away from most: hell. Francis asks the questions you've always wondered yourself, with scriptural backing for his conclusions, and an honest "We can't be sure" when needed.

This is a plan that talks about God's heart for global missions. It looks through scripture where God calls us to reach the unreached and talks about God's heart for the nations. This 7-day plan will explore how we as Christians should engage in God's plan to reach the world.

Every Christian generation since the early church has wondered, "When will Jesus return to earth?" God hasn’t revealed that knowledge, but the fact is the return of Christ could be any day. This 7-day reading plan from Pastor Jeff Schreve will encourage you and guide your heart to Christ, helping you live on mission, ready for the last days – whenever they come.

All Christians find it difficult to pray at times. The apostle Paul found the kind of spiritual closeness in his own fellowship with the Father that is available to all of us. Praying with Paul leads group members into the Epistles to see what Paul taught in his "school of prayer." In 8 days with DA Carson, you will be exposed to the priorities of prayer, a God-centered framework for prayer, and practices for a more meaningful and dynamic prayer life.

Does it seem like the world could collapse at any moment? Paul gave God’s answer in two letters to the Thessalonians. A sudden crisis and danger kept Paul separated from these new believers. Paul's letters encourage believers to persevere in the cause of Christ, expecting His return. Discover how our choices to faithfully obey God could impact our times and future generations.

God's love plays a major role in the history of humanity as a whole and in the life of believers individually. Without His love, the world would look very different. Your life would also look very different. This reading plan shows you various aspects of the transforming power of God's love.

The God of the universe loves you with a sincere, enduring, perfect love. In The Gift of God’s Love, Michael Youssef contrasts worldly love with God’s love and describes the type of response such a love invokes.

Reading entire books of the Bible can feel overwhelming and challenging, especially with the stress and busyness of daily life. With short Scripture readings and deep, poetic prayers, this 13-day plan highlights Paul’s letters with excerpts from "The Whole Bible Devotional" by Melissa A. McLaughlin.

Some people joke that they’d rather be in hell drinking with their buddies than in heaven with stuffy saints. But these people are completely blind to its reality and meaning. Hell is real, and we’d better take it seriously. The Bible does not describe hell to scare us, but to warn us. And that is also the purpose of this reading plan!
