You were not created by accident. You were created by God—on purpose, with purpose.

The Story

In the beginning, God created everything. The sky. The land. The oceans. And then—He created people.

Genesis says God formed man from the dust of the ground and breathed life into him. That means life itself came directly from God. After creating man, God placed him in the Garden of Eden—not to sit around, but to work it and take care of it.

When God finished creating, He looked at everything and said it was “very good.”

Before any mistake.
Before any failure.
Before the fall.

Humanity already had value, identity, and purpose.

Think Like an Athlete

As an athlete, you know what it feels like to be chosen for a team, coached, trained, and trusted with responsibility.

Creation shows us this:

• God chose humanity
• God trained humanity with boundaries
• God trusted humanity with responsibility

You were never meant to live without direction. Just like rules in sports protect the game, God’s boundaries were given to protect people and help them thrive.

Many athletes define themselves by:

• Performance
• Wins and losses
• Selection or rejection
• Injuries or form

But before you ever stepped onto a field, court, or track—God already called you “very good.” Your worth doesn’t start with your performance. Your identity doesn’t depend on your results.
Your life has meaning because God gave it.
