What Exactly Is Faith?Sample

Stacy finally summoned the courage to buy her first property in Lagos, Nigeria. Owning a home had always been her quiet dream, but fear often whispered otherwise, fear of making a costly mistake, of being taken advantage of in a market she didn’t fully understand.
Then she spoke with David, a trusted real estate broker and husband to her childhood friend, Jane. They had all grown up together in Surulere, on the Lagos mainland, and Stacy knew she could rely on them.
David guided her through the process patiently, finding a 400-square-metre plot at 12, Industrial Way, Lekki. Though the land was slightly waterlogged, the price, including the estimated building cost, fit neatly within her budget. It was a fair deal. She paid.
Three weeks later, a small brown envelope arrived at her office. Inside lay her title deed, signed, stamped, and sealed by the Lagos State Government. Stacy stared at it for a long moment. The paper in her hands was not the land itself, yet it carried all its power. It was the legal proof of what was already hers.
And suddenly, she understood something deeper; faith works the same way. God’s word is our title deed, evidence of promises we may not yet see but already own. God’s word is the evidence of our ownership. The more of God’s word we know, the more our faith will grow.
