Obtaining MercySample

Mercy in the Midst of Brokenness
Lamentations 3:22–23 declares that it is because of the Lord’s mercies we are not consumed. This is not poetic exaggeration—it’s spiritual reality. Life may bruise us, but mercy keeps us from being destroyed. Psalm 103 reinforces this truth: God does not deal with us according to our sins. His mercy is vast, immeasurable, and deeply personal.
Many of us carry wounds—emotional, physical, spiritual. We’ve been betrayed, abandoned, misunderstood. Yet we are still here. That’s mercy. Mercy is not the absence of pain; it’s the presence of preservation. It’s the invisible hand that holds us when everything else falls apart.
God knows our frame. He remembers that we are dust. He doesn’t expect perfection—He offers compassion. His mercy is not earned; it’s received. And it’s renewed every morning. No matter how broken you feel, mercy is available. It’s not just for yesterday’s failures—it’s for today’s struggles and tomorrow’s uncertainties.
Prayer:
God, thank You for Your mercy that sustains me in brokenness. Even when I feel crushed, You keep me from being consumed. Help me to rest in Your compassion and trust in Your kindness. Let Your mercy heal what life has wounded.
