Rich in Love: Growing Financial Peace TogetherSample

God Owns It All
Devotional:
Every healthy financial foundation in marriage starts with a one life-changing truth: God owns everything, and we are simply managers.
When couples forget this, money becomes a source of tension, comparison, or control. But when both spouses embrace stewardship, not ownership, arguments cool and unity grows. We stop asking, “What do I want to do with my money?” and instead ask, “Lord, how should we manage what You’ve entrusted to us?”
Seeing money through God’s eyes removes pride, fear, and pressure. It creates spiritual alignment, shared purpose, and peaceful decision-making. When couples treat finances as a sacred assignment—not a personal possession—they become teammates instead of opponents. God doesn’t ask us to be perfect managers, just faithful ones.
Discussion Question:
- How would your financial conversations change if both of you intentionally viewed your resources as belonging to God, not yourselves?
Closing Prayer:
Lord, remind us daily that everything we have comes from Your hand. Teach us to steward our finances with humility, unity, and gratitude. Help us honor You in every money-related decision we make together. Amen.
