Jesus is the true Light who helps us see and know God.

Some truths are simple and powerful.

John tells us that the Light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.

That same Light, Jesus, broke into our world at Christmas and still shines today. He doesn’t just tell us facts about God; He opens our eyes to see where hope is breaking through.

Light changes how we live. When darkness surrounds us—fear, shame, doubt—the Light shows us what’s real. It heals, it reveals the way forward, and it guides us. It helps us find the next right step when everything else feels confusing.

So what does it mean to live in the Light?

First, instead of hiding your doubts and fears, bring them into the light of Jesus. He will meet your honesty with mercy and provide clarity when you’re confused.

Second, let the Light shape your relationships: speak truth with kindness and offer hope to people walking in darkness.

Here’s the good news: Jesus is near—and He stays. Jesus became the Light among us so we could see the Father and walk in confidence.

That changes everything about how we face today: we don’t stumble in fear; we follow the light.

His light still shines in the darkness, and nothing can put it out.

The same light that broke through on that first Christmas still reaches us today.

Pray:

God, You are the Light that breaks through the darkness. Open my eyes to see where You are already at work. Help me bring my doubts and fears into Your light. Today, help me to point others to You. Amen.
