Following Jesus Through the First Christmas: 25 Days of Advent TruthsSample

The wise men had everything the world could offer—knowledge, influence, wealth.
But something was still missing.
When they saw the star rise, they followed it, and it brought them to a quiet home in Bethlehem—to a child who would change the world.
And when they saw Jesus, they fell to their knees and worshiped.
They recognized what they'd been searching for all along. Every search for meaning, peace, or fulfillment points back to Him.
The world offers a thousand ways to fill the ache inside us—success, approval, comfort—but none of it lasts.
Every restless heart is really searching for Jesus.
The joy Jesus gives doesn’t fade when life shifts or dreams fall short. It’s found in His presence—and it’s joy in fullness.
Like the wise men, we’re invited to seek Him, to open our hands in worship, and to offer what we have as an act of love.
Pray:
Jesus, You are the joy my heart longs for. Teach me to seek You above everything else that falsely promises to satisfy. Let my worship and my generosity reflect how much I treasure You. Amen.
Talk about it:
What’s one thing you’re tempted to look to for joy or fulfillment right now? How can you offer it to Jesus as an act of worship instead?

About this Plan

During a season that often feels busy and stretched thin, we invite you to pause and remember what matters most: following Jesus. The birth of Christ is more than a story we tell in December. It's the beginning of our Savior's life on earth — and the pattern for our own life with Him. Our prayer is that these 25 days prepare your heart to celebrate His birth, deepen your walk with Him today, and stir your hope for His return. We’ve also created a companion worship playlist – search “Following Jesus Through the First Christmas” on Spotify to listen.
