Oracles of God: The Story of the New TestamentSample

Day 2: God’s Word Preserved
Reflection:
Throughout history, kingdoms have fallen, empires have crumbled, and philosophies have faded, yet God’s Word remains. Isaiah declared, “The grass withers and the flowers fade, but the word of our God stands forever.” Centuries later, Luke began his Gospel by saying he had “carefully investigated everything from the beginning” so that we might know the certainty of our faith. Both statements affirm the same truth: God Himself ensures His Word endures.
The Bible was not preserved by accident or human effort; it was protected by divine purpose. The same Spirit who inspired the prophets and apostles also safeguarded their message through persecution, exile, and time. Through every translation and generation, His Word has been carried faithfully.
When doubts creep in or voices question Scripture’s authority, we can rest in knowing that God is its guardian. The Word that survived the centuries will also sustain your soul. Every promise written still holds power today.
Prayer:
Heavenly Father, thank You for preserving Your Word through every trial. Help me treasure it, trust it, and live by it with unshakable faith.
