Healthy Living and the Bible - God in 60 SecondsSample

Steps
Who says I need to do 10,000 steps?
My fitness tracker wants me to do 10,000 steps every day. But who says I need to do 10,000 steps?
And who says I need 8 hours of sleep a day? Who says I need 2 servings of vegetables at dinner? Who comes up with these numbers?
The problem with these numbers is that it never feels like I’m doing enough!
I’m not eating enough. I’m not sleeping enough. I’m not taking enough steps.
We never measure up. We fall short of what needs to be done.
That’s why God sends us his son, Jesus. When Jesus died on the cross, he called out, “It’s finished!”
Enough. Done. No more.
If we put our trust in Jesus, we will have done enough. In God’s eyes, we will be perfect.
But, yes, your fitness tracker will still want 10,000 steps from you.
