How Is It With Your Soul?Sample

Day 3: It Will Be Well With My Soul
During my sophomore year of college, I walked through a narrow and hard path. I was hurting, and I needed a community to surround me.
Eventually, I discovered there was a beautiful community surrounding me, and then the following summer, I ended up being surrounded again by a new community.
This might sound silly, but I remember every time I wanted to play a board game, I would get sad because it reminded me of a really happy time in my life. It took me months to ever play board games again. It was not until I met a whole new group of people, and told them why I get sad, and said it is hard to play board games, that they went and bought one game, and said we should play it all together. That was a healing experience for my soul.
So, I do not know what your board game is, or what is keeping you from being surrounded by a loving community, or from participating in a soul-healing community. But can you trust that God sees you, God wants good for you, and believes in you, and that your friends believe in you? This is where you start to learn that it will be well with your soul, but it is okay if you cannot quite say that yet.
During your trials, be willing to become teachable; the Lord himself can and will do wonders within the limits we have as humans.
He wants us to lean on Him.
Ask the Lord to teach you how to lean on Him.
While you are learning to lean on Him, in your suffering, in your loneliness, remind yourself that the Lord would not remove something from your life without the intention of replacing it with something of far greater value.
The Lord has a wonderful plan in store for those who put their hope in Him.
