DAY 274 OF 365

Six sides The ninety-third Psalm is like a banner that slowly unfurls itself to reveal one amazing attribute of the Lord after another. Consider what this relatively short yet remarkable Psalm says to us about our God: (Psalms 93:1 NKJV) The LORD reigns... For starters, we see that the Lord is sovereign. He reigns as the supreme authority over all else that exists. He isn't bound or subject to anyone or anything else but is able to do all that He pleases. (Psalms 93:1 NKJV) He is clothed with majesty... Secondly, we see that God is majestic. The word here for "majesty" in the Hebrew conveys the idea of beauty. Our God's sovereignty is matched by His beauty that leaves us breathless as we comprehend and consider Him. (Psalms 93:1 NKJV) He has girded Himself with strength... The Lord is also omnipotent, as He has girded (or clothed) Himself with strength. This means He possesses all power and that there is absolutely nothing in the entire universe that is more powerful than Him. (Psalms 93:2 NKJV) You are from everlasting. God is also eternal. He is "from everlasting." He has always been and will always be. He has no beginning and no end, and there will never be an end to who He is. (Psalms 93:5 NKJV) Your testimonies are very sure... Next, we see that God is trustworthy, because it tells us His testimonies are "very sure." This means you can always take what He has said to the bank. It's never going to fail, falter, or be found fraudulent. (Psalms 93:5 NKJV) Holiness adorns Your house, O LORD, forever. Lastly, we see that the Lord is holy. Sin has never corrupted His heart as it has ours. He is perfectly pure and free from any trace of sin. O Lord, there is more about you then we could ever fully fathom...may we ever marvel and rest in your incomparable character. The ninety-third Psalm is like a banner that slowly unfurls itself to reveal one amazing attribute of the Lord after another. Think about it... What does this passage reveal to me about God? What does this passage reveal to me about myself? Based on this, what changes do I need to make? What is my prayer for today?
