God Will Pour Out His Spirit on Our Offspring
Do you ever worry about your legacy? Will your children find stable careers? Will your children want to work in the family business? Can they take over for you?
More important--will our present generation finally exhaust God's patience? Is he getting close to giving up on the human race? Will there be a future generation of Christians to keep the faith? Will the fire go out?
What a great time to listen again to the prophets. When the present looks shaky and we fear for the future for our family and community, how good it is to be reassured that our God is steady. "I will pour out my Spirit on your offspring, and my blessing on your descendants" (Isaiah 44:3).
The God who didn't give up on our parents' generation or ours has no intention of abandoning our children. Teach them. Trust him.
