Have your circumstances been a fire extinguisher to your faith? Faith is not a feeling and should not be altered by life's sticky situations. We have to keep our eyes on Jesus and see Him for who He really is, God can use every trial we face to strengthen our faith. Don't lose heart in the battle! Victory is yours when you rely on Christ as your strength. Imagine what it felt like for Jesus to not be able to fully minister in His hometown. Jesus' childhood neighbors were judging His credibility based upon their circumstantial facts about His 'ordinary' upbringing within a family they all knew. I believe Christians too often become weak-faithed due to a similar, strong deception. A vibrant, thriving faith can become weak when our relationship with Jesus Christ is substituted for ordinary, over-familiar religious practices. When who Jesus is has become stale and just 'no big deal,' you have been deceived. The good news is that God is merciful, and His love is unchanging. Repent, and ask God to open your eyes to know Him for who He truly is.
