Day 2 of 7
One of the blessings of being Christian artists is the ability to use the musical gifts God has given us to praise His name. This song represents that in a great way. The opening guitar riff lets you know that we’re about to get into some good ol’ Rock & Roll and that unlocks the door for the lyrics to tell a wonderful story about how to serve our Savior.
We can change the world and make a difference if we just believe, but where does that start? In Romans 12, we see Paul penning one of his most important letters. Rome was a big goal for this first generation Christian. There was a lot of power and influence there, so he knew to change the world, he’d have to change Rome. In the 2nd verse of chapter 12 Paul says, “Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind…” He’s laying out the road map for us to learn how to test what God’s will is, what His divine appointment for us will be.
When we know that, when we know how God has gifted us and what His plan is for us, then He can show us the role we can play to glorify His kingdom here on earth. Hebrews 13:8 tells us, Jesus is the same yesterday, today, and forever, and because HE stays the same, WE can change the world!
Is it time for all God’s people to say, Okay, here we go? YES!
