Love God Greatly: You Are ForgivenSample

SOAP – 1 John 4:7 Because of the love that we have received from God, Christians are called to offer and pour out God’s love to all people. We cannot simply love those who are lovable and friendly. Christians are called to love enemies, to forgive, to reconcile, and to restore. As we meditate on and accept God’s abundant overflowing love for us despite our actions, we are able to share that same love to others despite their actions. What conditions are you placing on the people in your life? The love of God demands a change in our lives. We love one another out of the love we have received through Jesus. The reason why this kind of love is miraculous and transforming is because it is a supernatural love. We must all pray for the heart of Jesus… a heart that has true compassion and love for people with a desire for them to be saved. Father God, I thank You for showing me a love that extends far beyond my sins, flaws, and mistakes. Remove any unforgiveness, apathy, and indifference that may be hidden in my heart. Help me to love people not just in words, but in action and in deed. In Jesus' name. Amen.
