The Fruit of Faithfulness

Because of the Lord's great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness. I say to myself, “The Lord is my portion; therefore I will wait for him.” (Lamentations 3:22-24, NIV)

On a recent radio program, the interviewer asked me the following question: “If you were to use one word to describe God, what would that word be for you?” My response was instant and with deep passion, I answered, “Faithful”. Great is His faithfulness, His love is without end, and His compassions never fail. We may fall and fail, but God will never fail us. He is faithful. I have chosen the way of faithfulness; I have set my heart on your laws. (Psalm 119:30, NIV). Our salvation is a reality because of God’s faithfulness. We can live the abundant life, because of Jesus’ sacrifice and His faithfulness to the Father. Our eternity is guaranteed because of God’s faithfulness to those who serve Him. Relationship with the Lord will deepen and strengthen through constancy, dedication, and worship. Be found faithful in your relationship with God and you will find His mercies are new every morning.

Expressing the fruit of faith shows up in being passionate about God, your purpose, and about life in general. Your actions will be sincere; your words spoken in truth. Living with faith in the Faithful One will cause you to radiate with confidence, joy, love, and laughter. Wisdom, knowledge, and understanding will undergird your faith walk. Follow His way and you will never lose yours. Incline your ear to Him, and your heart will recognize His voice. His Presence is the greatest faith-lift in all the world.

Let my love and faithfulness for You never leave me, Lord. Let me wear them around my neck and write them on my heart.
