Abiding in the Psalms

DAY 53 OF 63

A Worldwide Musical The grand nature of the sea and all that is within it, the world and all who live in it, are resounding praise to God. The rivers are clapping their hands in praise, the mountains are singing together with joy, and in this psalm you have an invitation to join the musical praise to our great God. Why? He has done marvellous things and worked for our salvation. He has been loving and faithful to us — that’s why the whole world breaks out in song. There is one more reason for praise that we may not normally consider: “He will judge the world in righteousness and the peoples with equity.” At first it seems odd to celebrate a judge with song; however, what we see in God is a fair judge, one who truly treats all people with equality, one who acts in righteousness. That is a judge worth writing songs about, as He is the Judge for every person who has ever lived. Application Put some praise music on and enjoy some time celebrating who God is and what He has done. Questions 1\. Why do you think nature is praising God? 2\. What reasons are given in the psalm to praise God? 3\. What reasons do you have to praise God? Pray Pray that God would reveal to you more reasons to praise Him and that you would see the greatness of who He is as a Judge.
