## TRUST IN GOD “Do not let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God; trust also in me.” Jesus Christ “Faith is deliberate confidence in the character of God whose ways you cannot understand at the time.”   Oswald Chambers > PRAY: Dear Lord, I start my week focusing on TRUST by filling myself up with three of the many encouraging, loving, hopeful verses in the Bible. Thank You that if I trust in You I am blessed. Thank You that I can put my confidence in You. Thank You that if I trust you with all of my heart and do not lean on my own understanding and acknowledge You in all my ways, You will make my path straight, You pour Your unfailing love upon me and You will show me the way I should go. Oh Lord, I entrust my entire life and being to You. I know that Your plans will prosper me and not harm me, You will be with me through everything and You will love me, hold me up, guide me, comfort me, protect me, empower me, and welcome me into eternity! I praise You Lord and I TRUST YOU! > REFLECT: Have you ever thought about the abundant promises, rewards, results, and joys God offers us if we just trust Him? It sounds simple, but it's harder than we think, or He wouldn't need to continue to encourage us to do so. This week we offer you only twenty-two of the many verses throughout the Bible on TRUST. God continues to remind us to put our trust in Him, not in ourselves and not in other men. He tells us that when we trust Him then our confidence will be in Him, not in ourselves. You will start to see that trusting God is not only important because we need to keep our eyes and our hearts dependent on Him, but it also takes away any ego, confidence, arrogance, or power from ourselves. We can't deceive ourselves that we are in control or that we do great things. Trusting God keeps us in perfect balance between who He's made us to be and how much we need Him for everything. > ACT: Take a moment to write down what God promises us if we completely trust in Him. These four verses offer a great start to that exercise: • We will be blessed • He will make our path straight • We experience His unfailing love • He will show us the way to go.
