Dip Into The Book Of Ephesians

DAY 3 OF 7

IDENTITY MARKER 3 - THREE THINGS TO KNOW Can you see in these verses the three things Paul wants you to know? As you read your Bible, notice the repeated terms and you will find the gems within the text. Firstly, Paul prays that the eyes of our heart will be enlightened. I love this! That we see not with our natural eyes, but that we are guided by the eyes of our heart and that they would be open and able to see the good things God has for us. This should be our prayer today. After this Paul sets out three things that he wants you to know :  the hope to which Christ has called you, the riches of His glorious inheritance, and His great power for us who believe. Sometimes when we read our Bibles, we get lost in the sentences and overwhelmed in the words and miss the point. So let’s stop, slow down, and digest what Paul is saying. First, he wants your identity to be established in hope; the hope of Jesus Christ, the hope of your future and in every circumstance, and the fact that you are called to this hope. You are not a mistake. In Him you are called! Second, know that you are established in the riches of His glorious inheritance, you have a future in Him, an inheritance that is safe and secure. Third, know His incomparably great power. When you know His power, you will trust Him in every circumstance. You will know that He has the power to get you through anything you face. Can you see how much is in these three promises? Take your time, and write in your Bible the revelation God gives you from these verses.
