By Pastor Darren:
John 4 Vs. 28-30 the Samarian woman (the prostitute), leaves her water pot, goes back to the village and tells the men of the city her story (the people she knew/the people she came in contact with). She tells them that Jesus knew everything about her and asks, could he be the Messiah?
T= Tell your story (to the people you know, the people you come in contact with)
What word of God is getting you through the tough times? How is God working in your life? This is your story. You don't have to be a celebrity or a criminal to have a good story (testimony). Your story is what God is doing in your life daily.
If you have no story, you have no God.
R= Rely on God.
John 4 Vs. 35-38 Jesus tells his disciples "lets talk". Lift you eyes and look, the harvest is ready now. Disciples, you walked past the same woman that I spoke with, but you didn't see her. You walked right past her, you ignored her, and she is the harvest that is ready.
Tell your story and allow God to do the work.
U= Understand that you understand enough.
John 4 Vs. 39-41 people believed the testimony of the woman, and she hadn't been trained to testify. This woman had no bible knowledge. She had no church training. It doesn't matter if we have the right words. If we have Christ, we have a testimony to share with people. God does God things through his people.
T= Talk like yourself. You don't have to use fancy words, talk like yourselves to others because that is the most powerful.
H= Hope with expectation. Through grief and pain, through our God, we can live with hope and great expectation.
